Low-E Glass ,also called low-Emissivity coated glass, is metal-plated glass system on which surface is coated with silver or or other metal and metal compounds by vacuum magnetron sputtering methods. It has very high visible light transmittance and very high reflectivity to the infrared ray ,especially medium infrared rays ,so that it has a good function in heat insulation and heat presevation.

Function and Characteristics:

   1, low-E glass has good function to obstruct solar transmittance.

       The solar reflectance of common glass is about 80%, but for low-E glass, it is below 25%. Low-E coating  less than 1% of such a hair  in thickness has a very high reflectivity on the far-infrared ray. It can reflect back more than 80% heat radiation of far-infrared ray, but as for the ordinary clear float glass, and absorbed-heat glass can only reflect back about 12%.

    2, Good optical  properties

        Low-E glass has very high visible light transmission, up to 80%,while the reflectance is very low,which makes its traditional opticalproperties changed significantly, compared to coated glass. Views from the outside, the appearance of a more transparent ,clear, namely to ensure the building of good lighting ,but also avoids the phenomenon of light pollution,creating a more soft and comfortable light environment .
